Friday

Hi from three cuties in the Marshall Islands - this picture was from Thursday 6/4/09 -goofing around on the bed. This picture was from Tuesday morning i think - 6/2/09. Jacob and Hannah in pjs and Boston still in the clothes he came to us with....for him to have something familiar that first day especially.

We are down at breakfast as usual. Hannah is coloring her velvet art book, Jacob, Peter and Boston are wandering around outside on the patio. We are going to try and rent a car today for the weekend - and head off to Laura Beach today - 35 miles away I believe. We tried to go there once before on our last trip, but didn't make it due to a hungry baby girl, etc.! It will be great to have some time together just for fun and just our new family of 5.
We spent time yesterday separately with all three kids' birth families. We got lots of good pictures and communicated as well as possible with the language barrier. I have given out a LOT of dum dum suckers and am so glad we brought so many this time to share. Amazing how a sucker is a draw to every kid. It is amazing to me how everyone on the island seems to know everyone else. It's small, but still about 30,000 people....yet the taxi driver on the way to Jacob's birth family's home (as best we remembered from before) was able to get us all the way there once we gave him the family name.
Well I will send this for now and hope to have some more scenery pictures tomorrow if we do get to the beach. Our papers left the island yesterday via DHL to Guam, Honolulu and then Manila! Love, Lois

  1. Fabulous photos, Lois! A trip to the beach sounds fabulous. Enjoy your beautiful beach babies! Miss you guys.
The Kids look like they are enamored with their baby brother. Smiles say it all.
Love you. And just wondering if you are sick of Banana pancakes yet?

  2. Yokwe,

Hope you enjoy Laura Beach. Forgot to caution you about the dogs and pigs crossing the road heading towards the beach. And watch the speed bumps.

But beach is really cool. You will have a good time there.

Hope the kids feel comfortable using the goggles and putting their faces under the water to look for fish.
Keep posting. We are refreshing several times a day from home and work.
Lois I think I would of been scared too if I would of looked down and saw no Boston. And I have to admit Jerry would of probably had the same response as Peter.
    Love,
    Deb, Jerry, Anamaria, and Lydia
