Thursday morning - off to Laura Beach

Hello on Thursday morning 6/18/09. We are all doing well here and looking forward to going to Laura Beach today. Yesterday we went back to Dr. Pinano, the doctor we know here - and he checked out the lungs and cough of Boston, Peter, Jacob and Hannah. Boston still has pneumonia, but we aren't finished with the antibiotics yet - so we'll go back to the doctor after those finish. Everyone else is okay - just colds and chlorine irritation from the pool for Jacob. We're thankful that our health here has been so good. And the doctor charged us $20 total - must be a family rate. The doctor was at the Lion's Club annual meeting last Sunday too - just so interesting to see people who live and work here. After the doctor and some playground time, we found a new place to get closer to the ocean (by the bridge for those of you who have been here!) and these next two pictures are from that spot.

Later in the afternoon after swimming in the lagoon here at the hotel, Annie and Joshua stopped by with a gift for Hannah. They came to dinner with us too - and here is their picture with Hannah before our goodbyes. They are leaving tomorrow for an outer island and so we might not see them again while we are here. We have had almost daily opportunities to visit with them in the past two weeks - and are thankful especially for Hannah to have these connections.
The sunset last night was especially beautiful - here's a picture of the boys on the lanai and then a shot of the sunset too.

Until tomorrow - bye for now from the islands! Love, Lois

  1. Glad to hear that you are enjoying Laura Beach. It is so pretty and relaxing there. On the note of swimming please do not swim by the bridge! We were told that by the bridge there is a pipe that runs out about 50 or 100 ft. and dumps raw sewage into the ocean.
Glad to see that Annie and Hannah have had some special time together.
Also glad to hear that everyone is feeling better.
Yes the sunsets are fantastic and that is something special that we can't get here at home.
Miss you all and can't wait to meet Boston.
    Love,
    Jerry, Deb, Anamaria & Lydia
