Happy Birthday to Peter!

It's Thursday morning here - June 11th.... Peter's birthday!
Here is a picture from dinner last night. Forgettable food - but fun being together as our family of 5, at a restaurant with one of those big lazy susans on the table. It provided lots of pre dinner entertainment for the kids to spin things around on it! How special it is for us to celebrate Peter's birthday here in RMI. Tonight we are hosting dinner for our lawyer Gordon and his family, plus our facilitator Maddy and her family. We have been married almost 15 years, and Peter was my best friend before we started dating. He is a Godly man, a wonderful friend, a terrific father, a loving husband and one of the hardest workers ever.

Above is a picture of Hannah by the pool yesterday afternoon - while taking a swimming break for a snack of Cheddar Bunnies. Boston did NOT like the Cheddar Bunnies, but is willing to taste almost anything. Jacob, on the other hand, cannot be bothered to stop swimming for a snack. He goes full speed in the pool until it's time to leave and go back to the room.

Above is a picture of the boys on the balcony from a few days back. Boston is having lots of fun with all of us - but especially loves to follow the kids around and do whatever they are doing. Yesterday morning I blew up a balloon and he played with that off and on throughout the day. He has seen volleyball played - it was very clear by how he stood and sort of served the balloon as if it was a volleyball, and wanted us to hit it back to him. I think spending his early days around that big tree in his community he learned a lot of things from the other kids and hours of play. He has also been giving us lots of kisses and singing some songs for us.

And here is a picture of the tuna can rental car. It's hard to compare it by itself in this picture to the size of another car - but that is Jacob in the background at the base of the tree.
Yesterday morning we walked over to the grocery store, the Bank of Guam (for quarters for laundry and dollar bills for taxis), and the post office. It's great that they are all in a row in one spot. Then we took a taxi back to the hotel since now we had all our bags of supplies and water to carry. The taxi drive asked right away about Boston - because, guess what!? He was one of Boston's birth uncles!

Bye for now from the islands. It's raining here this morning, but I'm sure it will soon end and the sun will be shining brightly soon. Love, Lois
